Earwig Control
Earwigs are reddish-brown insects with pincers at the tail that hide in damp, shady places and wander indoors. Every Liberty pest control plan covers earwigs.
How to identify
- Long, flat, reddish-brown bodies about ½ to 1 inch long.
- A pair of curved pincers at the tail end.
- Short wings folded under small wing covers.

DIY prevention tips
- Thin out mulch, and clear leaf litter, stones and debris from around the foundation.
- Keep shrubs trimmed so beds near the house get more air and sunlight.
- Caulk cracks and make sure doors, windows and screens fit snugly.
- Run a dehumidifier in a damp basement.
- Vacuum up any earwigs that get inside.
