WDI inspections for buyers, sellers and realtors
What is a WDI inspection?
A WDI (wood-destroying insect) inspection is done when a home is being bought or refinanced. We check for visible evidence of termites and of damage from carpenter bees and carpenter ants.
How much does a WDI inspection cost?
$75 online. $100 by phone. Payment is due at the time of inspection, or call the office to place a card on file.
What form is the WDI report on?
Your WDI inspection results are reported on Form NPMA-33, the standard Wood Destroying Insect Inspection Report from the National Pest Management Association. It's approved for FHA and VA loans. Lenders set their own requirements, so ask your lender or real estate agent what your closing needs.
Who can request a WDI inspection?
The realtor, the buyer or the seller can request it. When you book, tell us how we'll get in and who's paying.

Do you treat for ticks?
Yes. Tick control is an add-on to our mosquito control service, available April through October. We treat low-lying areas of vegetation and shaded foliage for ticks around your property.
Which plans include mosquito control?
The Mosquito Control Plan covers mosquito control on its own, and the Patriot and Freedom Plans include it with pest control, from April through October.
How do I prepare for mosquito service?
Treatment works best when standing water is gone. Empty buckets, plant saucers, toys and bird baths, and keep gutters clear. Unlock gates and keep dogs inside.
Do you spray for mosquitoes?
Yes, though it isn't a blanket spray of the lawn. Your Service Specialist mists the shady places where mosquitoes rest: under shrub leaves, along fence lines, under decks and steps, and in lower tree branches. Open, sunny lawn is skipped, because mosquitoes don't rest there.

Bed bugs
How do you treat bed bugs?
We inspect first, then treat. Treatment has three parts: vacuuming, a dust worked into the voids and cracks where bed bugs harbor, and a chemical treatment where bed bugs hide.
How do I prepare for a bed bug treatment?
Your Service Specialist gives you a preparation sheet. Infested bed linens aren't treated: strip them, seal them tightly in a plastic bag, then launder and dry them at high temperatures before they're used again.
Can you treat my mattress?
Yes. The product we use is approved for direct application to mattress and box spring surfaces. Porous surfaces like mattresses and carpet edges are treated until they're thoroughly damp, but not wet.
Does the treatment work on bed bug eggs?
The product we use is labeled to kill bed bugs and bed bug eggs, and all bed bug life stages. Your Service Specialist treats the places eggs are laid, which is why the seams, folds, tufts and edges get the attention they do.
When can I use the bed again?
Once the spray has dried. Nothing that was treated is used before then, and the bed is re-made with clean linens.
Do I need an exterminator for bed bugs?
Bed bugs aren't part of our pest control plans, so they're treated on their own. Your Service Specialist inspects first, gives you a preparation sheet, and then treats. Text or call our office to discuss treatment and pricing.
How do bed bugs get into a home?
Bed bugs are efficient hitchhikers. They're easily transported into a home on luggage, clothing, beds and furniture.
