Trai came out for our initial inspection and was amazing! He provided us with all of the information we needed in order to move forward with booking quarterly inspections/treatment and he was super nice! If our experience with Liberty Pest Control will always be as great as it was with Trai today, then we are definitely looking forward to our future with them! Thank you so much, Trai! 100/10 recommend!
Rodent Control in Murray, KY
Liberty Pest Control handles mice and rats in Murray and across Calloway County, from our Paducah office. Mice and rats are covered by every Liberty pest control plan, and all rodent problems start with a free inspection.
Mice breed year-round, with six to ten litters a year, University of Kentucky Entomology says, and they rarely travel more than 10 to 25 feet from the nest. In a Murray home, that is why traps and bait go right where the activity is, and why sealing the gaps keeps the house from filling back up.

DIY prevention tips
- Seal holes and gaps a quarter inch or wider, including under doors and around pipes, using sturdy materials like hardware cloth or steel wool with caulk.
- Store food, pet food and birdseed in sealed containers, and clean up crumbs and spills promptly.
- Use trash cans with tight lids, and don't leave pet food or open water out overnight.
- Trim plants back from the house, and move wood, brick and junk piles away from outside walls.
- Cut down clutter in garages, basements and attics that could serve as nesting spots.
Common questions
Are mice and rats covered by my plan?
Yes. Mice and rats are covered by every plan. All rodent problems start with a free inspection.
Why do mice keep coming back?
Because they breed year-round and new ones replace the old if the gaps stay open. Sealing entry points, along with traps and bait placed where they're active, is what stops the cycle.
How do mice get into a house?
Mice squeeze through very small gaps, like openings around pipes, vents, doors and the foundation. Rats need a slightly bigger opening but get in the same ways.
How can I keep mice out of my house?
Store food and pet food in sealed containers and keep counters clean. Seal gaps around pipes and doors, and keep firewood and clutter away from the house.
