What's the difference between the Quarterly, Patriot and Freedom plans?
Published Updated
Short answer
All three plans bring the same pest control every 3 months and cover the same household pests. The Quarterly Plan is that service on its own, with no contract. The Patriot Plan adds mosquito control. The Freedom Plan adds mosquito control and ongoing termite protection. Patriot and Freedom come with a 1-year service agreement.

What do all three plans have in common?
More than most people expect. Every plan is built on the same quarterly pest control visit, and every plan covers the same list of pests.
Your Service Specialist comes back every 3 months to inspect and treat around your home.
Every plan includes spider web removal, exterior treatments (interior on request) and a landscape granular treatment.
"They walk all the way around your home first. They look for ways pests get in, nests, ant trails and standing water."
That outside focus is on purpose. University of Kentucky entomologists say "most pests encountered indoors have either flown or crawled in from outdoors" [1].
All three plans cover:
- American cockroaches, silverfish, centipedes, crickets and earwigs
- Spiders and wasps (first floor)
- Household ants
- Stink bugs, Asian lady beetles and carpet beetles
- Mice and rats
Mice and rats: all rodent problems start with a free inspection.
If covered pests show up between visits, just text us.
What does the Patriot Plan add?
Mosquito control, on top of the same quarterly pest control.
Mosquitoes are a yard problem more than a house problem. UK Entomology says "the most effective way to reduce the number of mosquitoes around homes and neighborhoods is to find and eliminate their breeding sites - standing water" [2]. That's also why your Service Specialist checks for standing water on every walk around the house.
If mosquitoes keep you off the porch or out of the yard, the Patriot Plan is the one built for that. You can read more about mosquito control.
What does the Freedom Plan add?
Everything in the Patriot Plan, plus ongoing termite protection. A termite inspection comes first, before the termite protection is installed.
Termites are the reason people pick it. University of Kentucky entomologists call subterranean termites "serious pests of buildings" that "usually warrant attention by a professional" [3]. They also note that termites "are cryptic creatures and infestations can go undetected for years" [3]. A plan that keeps termite protection in place means you aren't waiting to spot damage before anyone looks.
The Quarterly and Patriot plans don't include termite protection. If you'd rather keep termites separate, termite control is also its own service.
How do the contract and property size compare?
This is where the plans differ most, after what's included.
| Quarterly | Patriot | Freedom | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pest control every 3 months | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Same covered pests | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Mosquito control | No | Yes | Yes |
| Termite protection | No | No | Yes |
| Contract | None | 1-year agreement | 1-year agreement |
| Property size | Homes up to 3,000 sq ft | Up to ½ acre | Up to ½ acre |
Larger homes and properties require a free in-person inspection to confirm your plan.
How do I know which plan fits my home?
Start with what's bothering you.
- Only household pests inside or around the house? The Quarterly Plan covers them, with no contract.
- Mosquitoes in the yard too? The Patriot Plan adds mosquito control.
- Want termite protection in place? The Freedom Plan adds it, along with mosquito control.
You don't have to get it right on your own.
Choosing a plan requests a free inspection. No card needed. Your Service Advisor confirms the right plan at the inspection.
You can compare the plans side by side on the plans page, and if you want to know whether quarterly visits are enough on their own, read is a quarterly pest plan enough.
What this means in Murray
We serve Murray and the rest of Calloway County, including Almo, Dexter, Hazel, Kirksey and New Concord, from our Paducah office, and all three plans are available here. You can read more about pest control in Murray.
Homes around Murray range from rentals near campus to family homes and Kentucky Lake houses, so property size matters when you pick a plan. The Quarterly Plan is for homes up to 3,000 sq ft. The Patriot and Freedom plans cover properties up to ½ acre. If your lake lot or home is bigger than that, the free in-person inspection sorts out which plan fits.
When to call a professional
Call when you aren't sure which plan fits, when you're seeing pests the plans don't cover, or when you think you might have termites.
One of our Service Advisors will perform a full home inspection and determine what plan is best for your home.
